Reactie VVD aanpassingen Fraudewet

Vandaag heb ik in de media gereageerd op de door minister Asscher voorgestelde aanpassingen van de Fraudewet:

Als mensen van goede wil zijn en door een vergissing een te hoge uitkering krijgen,  dan is het logisch dat die mensen het teveel ontvangen bedrag terugstorten. Als zij hier niets aan kunnen doen,  hoort daar ook geen boete bij. Daarom is de VVD er voor om het Boetebesluit aan te passen. Dat laat onverlet dat misbruik van gemeenschapsgeld wordt aangepakt. Want frauderen met uitkeringen is de bijl aan de wortel van de sociale zekerheid. De VVD steunt geen onnodige aanpassingen van de Fraudewet zoals nu door Asscher worden voorgesteld.
